SOPFC and Soccer in the Streets have teamed up to host the first annual Champion the Youth 7v7 Tournament on May 19, 2018, 11am-4pm @Washington HS, to benefit students at Carver HS, Maynard Jackson HS, and Washington HS. All funds raised from this adult soccer tournament will be used to pay for student equipment, soccer camps, and most importantly a field trip to Mercedes-Benz Stadium to see Atlanta United FC play!
On July 15th, high school soccer players and coaches from all three schools will march into the Benz to watch ATL UTD take on the Seattle Sounders. The Young Champions March is a celebration for all the hard work they have put in this year. Against more formidable opponents they wore their colors and earned their stripes. They represented their schools with pride, and although there is still much to be done to achieve the same level of play as other schools, these kids have the grit it takes to get there!
