As we enter the cooler parts of the year, a pair of Jorts might seem impractical. Just don’t tell that to this group. Finishing the regular season with a nearly perfect 6-0-1 undefeated record, their only blemish was a 1-1 tie against eventual co-finalists and familiar frenemies HurriKanes. And when we say familiar, we mean it: not only was a rematch of the regular season draw in store for the finals, but this marks the third season in a row the two squads were the last standing in D1. Last season went to the ‘Kanes in a close one, but the Jorts had no intention of keeping it close this time around, and a 3-0 win gives Saturday’s winningest team their 13th trophy, good for second all-time among all SOPFC teams 😮 Nice job, and good luck to both teams in the rivalry match(es) next season!

Saturday was a banner day for undefeated top seeds, and an 8-0-1 record saw n̶e̶w̶ rebranded team Tiki Taka Masala take the D2 crown! The squad clearly adopted a defense-wins-championships approach, and if you look for flaws in this backline you’ll find naan. 8 goals allowed was the least among all Saturday teams—D1 squads included—and their final victory came with a fitting clean sheet.
