πŸ™ˆ YOU’RE NOT ALLOWED TO BE GOOD!

🀝 MEET & PLAY WITH OTHER BEGINNERS

πŸ™Œ WE WILL ASSIGN YOU TO A TEAM

Join us for friendly, organized, newbie-oriented, community-driven soccer on premium intown turf fields on the BeltLine.

WHO IS BEGINNERS ONLY FOR?

- People who have never played soccer before
- People who have tried soccer but only briefly or a long time ago
- People who want to get exercise and learn a new sport
- Anyone who wants to make new friends

We designed our Beginners Only format specifically for folks new to the game, with very little experience, or who might otherwise feel nervous to try. You are literally not allowed to be good (if you accidentally are, we'll recommend a different league and transfer your registration). You're guaranteed to be amongst others just as inexperienced, and we bet you'll meet nice people too.

🐣 This is a strict no-judgment, no-embarrassment zone for people who want to learn the game and build their confidence, and we will ensure it remains that way! Beginners Only is about supporting and encouraging fellow players, not winning.

HOW DOES BEGINNERS ONLY WORK?

Each unskilled player signs up by themselves as an Individual, and SOPFC forms and assigns teams. You can invite a friend to play on the same team if you'd like. The first few weeks will be your introduction to the rules and fundamentals of soccer by certified Coaches. The next six weeks you'll play actual refereed games! It will be super low stakes (modified scoring, no champ prizes), no goalkeepers (we use waist-height goals), and a supportive atmosphere (our Coaches, Referees, and Field Managers are at the field to help).

Here's roughly how a season will go...

Week 1: Intro & Fundamentals (Coach-led)
Week 2: Skills & Drills (Coach-led)
Week 3: Practice & Scrimmage (Coach-led)
Weeks 4-9: Refereed Games

REGISTRATION INCLUDES:

- 3 Coach-Led Practices Per Season (60-90 min each)
- 6 Games Per Season (55 min each)
- Premium Artificial Grass Turf Fields
- Stadium Lighting for Night Games
- Trained, Paid Referees
- On-Site Field Managers
- Quality, Turf-Specific Game Balls
- Direct Support for Youth Community Programs**
