Congrats Net Six and Chill (Elite)!

Championship night always has a bit of Prime time feel to it, and when @netsixandchill_atl is playing, we’ve come to expect Showtime. A finals win over @tea_and_busquets_atl meant N6 Maxed out their win column with a perfect 9-0-0 record on the season, and only a couple of matches were remotely close in that time. In fact, the 3-1 win in week 9 was the closest game of the season, and their average margin of victory in the 8 games before was nearly 5 goals! Winning trophies is Paramount to this group, and with 32 to their name now, Starz on the kits seems like a non-starter. Congrats on another one, see you next season!

Congrats Hammond Yanited FC!

D1’s final gave us a rematch of last season’s, and we might just have a derby brewing 👀 Reigning champs @sportingsoufsidefc were looking to repeat and take their 4th trophy in the last 5 seasons, but a 3-0 win for their opponent meant top-seeded Hammond Yanited got their revenge AND their first title with SOPFC! HYFC had been close in the past, and trophies had just eluded them in the two finals they’ve made previously. Happy to see third time’s the charm with this group🍀 Congrats on the first one, best of luck with your title defense!

  Fodder United

Congrats Fodder United!

Tuesday’s finals were kind to the 1 seeds this time around, with 4 of the 5 championships on the night won by teams who were top of table at the end of the regular season. Open’s D2 was the only division to buck the trend, and we were treated to a good ole fashioned cupset with 4 seed Fodder United taking the crown! The same group fell in the semis as the 4 seed last season, but redemptive arcs were something of a theme in the Open division this time around, and Fodder capture their 2nd trophy in just 3 seasons. Underdogs no more, well done on another big win!

Congrats Immigrants United!

A decent introductory last season for Immigrants United saw them finish above .500, but just shy of the top 4 and a chance for a division championship. Despite a week 1 loss in their sophomore effort this go round, Immigrants United were a clearly improved side, scoring a division-leading 37 goals and going undefeated in their final 6 regular season matches en route to D3’s pole position and a playoff debut. Wins in the semis for IU and Big Boy FC meant the two sides would get a chance to separate themselves after their regular season matchup ended in a draw, and in a predictably close game, Immigrants United won their first! Congrats on the win and promotion, good luck in D2!

  Has-Beens

Congrats Has-Beens!

Given it’s their 2nd trophy in a row and 3rd in 4 seasons, “Has-Beens” as a team name seems a bit misleading we think, because this group clearly still has it! Over-40’s repeat champs earned the 1 seed as the only team in the division to go undefeated, a feat they had accomplished only 2 times previously in 17 seasons. The latest win gives them a league-leading 8 Over-40 championships, and 12 overall since they first joined us 2016, which is good for 3rd among all teams in SOPFC history! Shoutout to co-finalists @decaturcityfootballclub, who made their 4th finals appearance and their first in those sweet new @innervoicebrewing kits. Thanks for another great season, good luck going for the threeepeat!

How are Standings Calculated?
3 Ranking Points for a win, 0 for a loss, 1 for a draw. Tiebreakers in order: Goal Differential (Point Diff), Goals Scored (Points Scored), Power Index (PI).
* PI = Power Index
The Power Index is a strength-of-schedule metric that is calculated by summing the Ranking Points of each team's vanquished opponents.
º Forfeits
Parenthesized numbers indicate wins or losses by forfeit.
When calculating Ranking Points, forfeits may be weighted differently than normal wins and losses.
